Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
Clevedon School prides itself on being an inclusive school and welcomes all students who live locally and those from further afield who wish to attend. We have experience of supporting students with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. We are happy to discuss your child's individual needs with you and look at how we can personalise what we offer.
The new Children and Families Act contains some important information for schools in relation to SEND. There are changes about how schools report information and how they involve children and their families in the planning process for positive outcomes. We welcome any suggestions from students and parents about how we can improve our service.
We are following the guidelines contained in the new SEND Code of Practice 2015, although we have always tried to work in a collaborative way at Clevedon and our Student Support Team enjoys an excellent reputation locally.
We are expanding the content of our SEN Information Report published on the school website. We have updated our SEND Policy and Disability Equality and Accessibility Policy and these can be accessed from this page.
If you have any concerns or would like more information in relation to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities at Clevedon School please contact:
Mrs Rhian Iredale- SENCo and Mrs Martine Burns- Assistant SENCo on senco@clevedonschool.org.uk
We look forward to working in partnership with you to ensure your child's success at Clevedon School and beyond.
